September 24, 2010, at 6:45, we start from Orio al Serio and after one hour and a half we landed in Berlin, a wonderful flight, beautiful weather, we saw the sun rise over Europe and it has passed under the foot. A part of my "tiny (.....)" panic attack at takeoff, Toto who did not wake up, the Toto who had a boxcutter Swiss backpack, he did sound the alarm and go and settle in a kiosk nearly lost the plane ...... ok!! 
We leave the airport and we meet in Berlin subway map of a puzzle ...... ..... the light yellow, orange, the red, the green light, the dark green, the pink, the violet, light brown, the brown, dark brown, the blue, black ....... grouped into the U and S. .... finally we get to a airport express bus with a driver who is so pissed off angry black who does not want the money for the ticket ....... lets us get off to a hub of evil underground where we continue the study the map ... 
Thanks to help from gill certainly the coincidences just too long and we can not even get near Charlottenburg. Wondering here and there reach Sophie-Charlotte and found the apartment of Oliver who is waiting for us doing the cleaning. your luggage and in the afternoon we go to Tempelhof, the old airport, to pick up the chest of the marathon.

Saturday, we enter the heart of Berlin, where we look at the start of the marathon, now the subway map is not (almost) no secrets ..... there is already a great ferment of people, runners, sponsors, souvenir kiosks, rivers of beer, sausages of all shapes and sizes are served up at every street corner. The departure is at hand the Brandenburg Gate. 
The day of the marathon it rains, Lorenzo and Toto are still a good time, 6 minutes both better than last year in Florence. I, Valeria and the small Dario stay at home all day ......... 
Monday with classic tour bus, visit Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexander platz, platz Gendarmerie, climb and descend from the buses between the city and shoes for one stop to another. It's raining, it's cold and takes a chill wind from the north.
Gendarmerie platz, deserves to be mentioned the chocolate shop ....... just lots of chocolate ... and chocolate ... a volcano that erupts with chocolate chocolate ...... 
Tuesday me and Lorenzo eclipse and we go to visit Spandau (ballet), the Zitadelle first and then the center, where we stop to eat. He bitterly cold but there are people here who runs a T-shirt .....

Wednesday we go to Potsdam (TUTTI. ....), first ride with the bus that takes us to see the fabulous castles then (after we divided by number of differences of opinion about the way forward, where and what to eat etc. etc. as per protocol .....) 10 km walk through the park.

Thursday eclipse there again (when we only want .. ce vo) go to the east, with S41 up to Treptowepark, is the landing we were looking for, we sit in the front row on the boat and is about to set sail when they are telling us not start ..... Warum? Why on board there are only five passengers ...... disappointed not give up and go to visit the towns that we set out with the U. .... with the greenish light Grunau reach the river, do a long walk on the eastern outskirts of Berlin, then take a bus and arrive in Köpenick. We visit the center, then take the blue light and go to the last stop, ever eastward, to Erkner. We continue the clear blue and back toward the center, it's early and we stop at Alexanderplatz.
Friday is the day of departure, the plane took off at 22.10, we spend the afternoon in Alexanderplatz where we are in the middle of Oktoberfest, stalls everywhere, sausages and mugs of beer .... ditto

At 17 we return to the home of Oliver, who kindly let us store your bags and take the meters for the airport Schònenfeld, let the ticket 2 euro and 10 because the airport is outside the center ..... do not mind the fact that there is a map for 1 mm in zone C, and then we never as a controller in the week ........ big mistake !!!!!!!
4 seconds before arriving at our stop AIRPORT SCHòNENFELD ...." fahrausweise bitte ....", to quietly show our tickets are sure to be right .... But I Do !!!!! The stronzone saddled us 4 beautiful fines of 40 euro each! E 'futile begging, let alone to pretend not to understand .... that just wants the documents ....
